How to Use interviewmate

Once you've created your account, downloaded the app, and selected a package — you're ready to explore everything interviewmate can do for you.

🖼️ Get solutions by sending screenshots

1. Press Ctrl + H to capture each part of the code challenge
2. If you want to delete your current screenshots, press Ctrl + R.
3. Once ready, press Ctrl + Enter to submit them.
4. Review the response with step-by-step explanations.

🎙️ Get answers by sending audio

1. Press Ctrl + L to start recording your voice.
2. Press Ctrl + L again to stop and view the transcription.
3. To clear your audio recordings, press Ctrl + R.
4. Press Ctrl + Enter to send the transcription.
5. Review the response tailored to your voice input.

🔁 Combine screenshots and audio for full context

1. You can take screenshots (Ctrl + H) and record audio (Ctrl + L) in any order. Just make sure to explain in your voice recording what the app should do with the screenshots or ask your questions out loud.
2. To reset everything (screenshots and audio), press Ctrl + R.
3. Press Ctrl + Enter to submit it all together.
4. Get a rich, contextual response that interprets both voice and visuals.

🤖 Use Realtime Coach for live guidance

1. Open Realtime Coach from the toolbar or press Ctrl + Shfit + C.
2. Upload your resume (PDF or JPG) and the job description before starting — this unlocks personalized coaching.
3. For even better suggestions, add a screenshot (JPG) of a LinkedIn post, recruiter email, or any relevant prompt. You can upload the image file or capture it directly with the app.
4.Press Realtime Coach again to start the microphone and receive live, contextual suggestions during your session.

Realtime Coach gives you live, in-the-moment guidance while you speak during an interview. To unlock personalized coaching, you should first upload your resume (PDF or JPG) and the job description. You can also add extra context by uploading a JPG screenshot (for example, a LinkedIn post, a recruiter email, or any relevant prompt) or capturing a screenshot directly inside the app. Once your context is loaded, activate Realtime Coach and start the microphone—interviewmate will listen, transcribe, and generate concise, tailored suggestions in real time based on your profile, the role, and the conversation.

Yes! Just press Control + Alt + H to open your interview history. Then, select the desired date and time from the menu on the left to view the session details.
Each session is stored only on your personal computer, so you can review it later. Our team does not keep any data from your interviews
No, we do not use your data to train any language models.
The free version only provides partial responses. Once you’re confident in the quality of the service, you can purchase credits to unlock the full version with complete answers.
If you’re using two monitors, make sure the window containing the code challenges or questions is on your primary screen. If you’re unsure which screenshot was submitted, you can review it in your interview history.

Unfortunately, the audio transcription service doesn’t work while connected to a VPN. Please disconnect from the VPN and try again.
